Does anyone know where to find either a metal old fashion drip coffeemaker(pour boiling water into top compartment, then it drips thru the grinds into compartment below) or a Stainless french press that makes more than 3 cups at a time? A 3 cup coffeemaker would last 30 seconds a round with DW and me.

Thanks, never too early to shop for next season, think Spring!

Sorry thats a purk.

This place has the pot you want, and when your done with it, you can turn it into a bird nest pot. Like to see you do that with a pot from China. JM2C's Bill

I just bought an 8-cup Bodum French Press at Target for $20. It was a replacement for one that I broke. They work great.

Target has a better selection on their web site than at the stores. Amazon is also a good source. Some Starbucks stores sell them too, but the prices are higher.

I use a Mellita filter cone and filter that I set on top of a thermos. I add ground coffee to the filter. Boil water on stove top or electric kettle and pour thru coffee in filter. The coffee will stay fresh and HOT for hours which is almost impossible with a french press.

I'll second Sidney. Been doing the same for a number of years.

I've used the Melita pour over coffee maker, as well as a stove top perker, and even had a stove top Coleman Drip Coffeemaker (10-12 cup). All work well. Most convenient was the Coleman Drip, fastest was the Melita, best aroma came from the perker!

I haven't seen the Melita in stores in a few years (maybe I'm blind). Camping section of Wal-mart has the stainless steel perculators, as well as the Coleman Drip coffee maker. Bed, Bath & Beyond usually has a good selection.

In my Popup, I have a nice Mr. Coffee (electric) with water filter, timer, etc., so I can set it up to automatically brew before I get out of bed in the morning! Love it!
