Just a warning about Lexmark wireless printers - some of the Lexmarks and Canons do not support AD HOC wireless, meaning you have to have a wireless router to use them.

Alll Lexmark. They give you the printer because they make so much money on the lousy ink cartridges.

Shoot, they all do that, that's why I went with a laser printer for my b/w stuff. The toner is more expensive when you have to buy it, but they do last a long time.

Me too, and full duplex printing to save paper! I love my LaserJet 3390, stays plugged in to my router and gives me networked printing, scanning, and faxing.

I need a wireless printer for the travel trailer .. and now have an Epson which I like real well, however the usb cord is not long enuff for me to have it where I want it to be.

You all are talking of networking .. can I use a wireless in conjuction with my laptop .. and would it work like my wireless mouse .. just plug a remote USB in and away we go? (of course I realize I would have to install the driver, etc.) -Marji

Linksys (and others) makes a wireless print server. Plug the USB cable from the printer into a box the size of a pack of cigarettes and connect to it via your laptop's wireless card.

Sounds like it would be easier to just buy another usb cable which is longer so that I can have my printer where I want it .. sounds like it would be cheaper, at least rather than to buy a new wireless printer.
