It's a crazy world we live in. The price at my usual place has gone DOWN from 3.59 to 3.39 in the last two weeks. Go figure!

Diesel is $3.04 a gal in Alb, NM today! Down from $3.16 last week. Pretty big jump there, but a GOOD jump for once! I use this www.GasBuddy.com and can find the lowest diesel prices in my area. Hope this is helpful to your wallets!

It is their pump. They program it. I think they are selling diesel fuel at that reduced price to cleanse their conscience, and in some small way make up for all the price gouging they have done in the past, along with all the rest of their co-conspirator fuel distributing partners. I think a consumer should buy all they can at that price in the spirit of forgiveness that it is offered. After all, it is Christmas.

Maybe the pump was right and the sign was wrong. Maybe it was on sale. Maybe it was a blue light special. Either way, it's their job to put the correct price on their merchandise. I just buy the stuff, and the customer is always right, right?

Just a quick sidenote on this topic of Diesel Fuel prices. For quite a while now, the forum moderated by firedude has had a ban on all new 'fuel price' topics. Not sure why but the sticky was at the top of the General RVing Forum for a long time.

I started a new thread yesterday asking about this and how come he banned it while other mods were o.k. with it? Firedude promptly deleted the entire thread - yada, yada, yada!!

Anyway, today I noticed that his 'sticky' on fuel cost threads has been removed. So, I guess this thread is safe to continue for a while. Another mod mystery move we'll never know the reason for!

Diesel was $3.69 this morning and gas thankfully $3.02. Marine diesel (no taxes) is $2.96

Year 1961-62 gas was $.27-$.32/gal heating fuel $.17/gal cigarettes $.25-$.30/pack, bottle of beer at thelocal pub $.25-$.30/12 oz.in the current fiscal year we are very close to the same ratio of cost and the minimum wage has also increased by a factor of ten...where do you see the big rip off by the oil companies that have invested billions to provide a critical product at a lower price than bottled water?

Gasoline is sold overseas for pennies on the dollar to what it costs here. Record profits for big oil companies when lots of other large corporations are losing money. How much do you think it costs to fill up a bottle of water? Quite a bit of profit there too.... reckon? But I can get water out of my faucet at home. I have to get my gasoline from the big rip off oil companies. I might understand if we didn't have our own oil reserves
