Day, we were thinking maybe in the future of going perm around there because of Jim's kid's living close by, but we will wait and see. With our Gold Buckeye card's 50% off we can still go there and camp a hole lot cheaper than perm. Nice
place to have a rally there maybe and close to Armstrong's museum? You can see
good fireworks from their beach also been told, we watched them from Old Field Park over the July 4th around the corner from the SP. Tonya do you know anybody who has watched them from the SP? Dee
Dee, yes you can see the fire works fine from the state park. You would need to go to th swim area, sand area, or there is a spot where you can walk out on a little strip of land. They set the fire works off from just around the corner from the state park. You just have to get past the trees of the park. We saw them this year from the back of the boat while in the middle of the lake.. It was absoultly beautiful.
Tonya
Well, thanks for all the encouraging words for our return.
Now BlueMax, you have met Greg right, hahahaah, of course we will try to pull the boat behind the fiver. I am not sure we will be that successful at it, but knowing Greg I am sure we will try. We once (as many of you know) pulled a small trailer with our motorcycle on it behind our fiver all the way to Maryand, via way of West Virginia. Gota love him for trying. Tonya
So, Tonya, are you saying you will tow the boat behind the 5'er, and then tow the motorcycle behind the boat??? I might pay money to see that one. But, I do know Greg...............

Zeppie's: One word . . . Class A (okay, one word & one letter)
We're also giving up our permanent site and hitting the highway again next year. Loved the convenience of having things set up and ready all the time, but really missed seeing new things. We've had the fifth wheel and truck posted for sale and have found quite a few interesting MH's. Would love to have the new one by Evergreen! To keep our total RV cost down, (using the Cadman Calculation of cost:use) I'll be up for some 4-seasons camping!

Steph, I agree. Problem we have had recently is that our "per campout" cost has really gone up. Our last trip out was Labor Day at C.P. and here it is October!!!
That was our justification for trading in the Jayco and getting the Winnebago. We figured that since the Winnie would be equipped for winter camping, we would be able to use it more often than the Jayco (which was garbage when it got cold). Therefore, the new Winnie would be cheaper in the long run than the Jayco. That just makes sense, and it's what Penn State teaches their business students!
Going up to Punxsutawney to see the 'Hog is a great time! Camp Wolfe is open for business, and only 30 minutes from dahntahn Punxsy. You get up at 2am (or if you're like Manny, you just stay up all night) dress warm, and drive up there. You can park in dahntahn Punxsy and ride a bus to Gobbler's Knob. Take a little flask of Crown Royal to keep you warm and you're good to go! Get some breakfast, go home and take a nap.
February 2nd is a Monday this year, but I'm always game to go see Punsxy Phil!
