Where is Lake Lanier in GA? It does look like a nice CG for sure.
Kathy, it is a corp of engineer lake 30 miles north east of Atlanta. It looks beautiful al nestled in the mountains of Georgia.

Tonya, may not mean a thing, but Bulltown is also a COE lake and you don't get much better than that place.

Larry, Bulltown is beautiful but the lake isn't that big for boating, Lake Lanier is 38 thousand acres. It would take days to see everything on the lake. The literature says it has 10 marina's and a water park and several resorts, just all kind of things to see. Also many resturants on the lake. It just makes it more interesting to spend many days boating in one lake.
We thought we would take our boat down with the truck and rent a cabin or stay at one of the resorts that has a dock and ramp attached to keep the boat in the water. We will see if we decide to do that next spring/summer. We are always looking.

If we could swing it, we'd love to go next year as well. Last we knew (several years ago), a good friend of ours had his boat on that lake (and lived in the area). That would have to be our 'big' trip for the year.
Not only that, but we also might be able to get the infamous Daniels family of Old Fella Fame to join us!
