We will be heading for Fort Wayne right after the first of the year to help our daughter and family move. Does anyone know of an RV park open year round in the area? We will be staying for a few weeks to help them move in and get settled. Thanks for the help.

you might check out the Indiana state parks. The are open year round with electricity, but water is shut off at most places. Not uncommon for each park to maintain at least one heated restroom/shower faciliity.

Check out Johnny Appleseed CG. I know they are open late in the year, but am not sure if they are open year round. I think they are a part of the city park system. As far as I know, they are the only CG really close to FT. Wayne.

A lot of people use this CG to do geneology research at the library as it is about 5 miles from the library.

Safe travels,

Judy

This KOA is in Auburn, just north of Ft. Wayne. I don't know if they're open, but you could check the website/email/call:

Northern Indiana gets some nasty lake effect weather during the winter. As another poster stated, you might find a campground open with electric, but their water most likely is off. Would suggest you seriously prepare for icy weather if you will be there in the winter months.

Stay in warm AZ. and send Daughter money to hire mover.
Or fly in rent car & motel room.
