About to buy a new 08' Cameo 35SB3 in Georgetown. What is a good park to stay in for a few days after buying to check things out?
Thanks,

There is a very nice COE campground called CEDAR BREAKS just a couple of miles west of town. Electric and Water hook ups with fixed dump station.

In same area as Cedar Breaks is Jim Hogg, another COE park. Both very nice with 30 Amp and water along with dump station.

Cedar Breaks isn't too bad but the following info is based on a place much closer to where you will be picking up your new RV. I've personally never stayed there as I live here in Georgetown.

Private - Good paved access rd. (East of town) S-bnd: From Jct of I-35 & exit 262, S 1.8 mi on W frntg rd to FM 971, E 2.2 mi on FM 971 (watch signs, 971 makes several turns) to CR 152, N 1.2 mi(R); N-bnd: From Jct of I-35 & exit 261A, N 1.2 mi on E frntg rd to FM 971, E 2.2 mi on FM 971 (watch signs, 971 makes several turns) to CR 151, N 1.2 (R). Good gravel interior rds. Pet Restrictions ( Breed ).

SITES: Avail: 72 gravel, 6 pull-thrus (25 x 100), big rig sites, back-ins (32 x 65), no side-by-side hookups, 72 Full hookups, (30/50 amps), (No Tents) WiFi.

FAC: semi-secure, private phone, laundry, metered LP gas.

REC: swimming pool, spa, horseshoes, enclosed rec hall.

Last year's rates: $23 to $30.

We have spent a lot of time in Georgetown. We like New Life although no bath house and no cable makes it a bit on the expensive side. East View Ranch is another nice place with the same amenities as above, but a little cheaper. It is also a little closer to the RV place. Cedar Breaks and Jim Hogg are both nice and have bath houses but they don't have WIFI and are not significantly less expensive than the others.

Both retired. 1 year until son finishes college, then financial freedom! We lost Max, the Schnoodle after 16 wonderful years but now enjoy Nicklaus Von Schnoodle (Nicky), who is a full time job. Our new Allegro Bay 34 XB is wonderful.

Actually, New Life is closer, but East View also looks good. Check out both web sites and make your own choice. If you want peace and quiet and don't require FHU and wifi, you can't go wrong with either Jim Hogg or Cedar Breaks. As far as that's concerned, there is also a Super WalMart in town if it is only an overnighter.

If it's quiet and convenient, would the dealer hook you up, let you stay for a couple nights to check operations? We made the mistake of taking a long trip before discovering many bugs in our new trailer and then experienced many headaches in trying to get things fixed. We would have never left the dealer if we had known and weren't so trusting.
