OK so I have a 2006 WW FS2300. The previous owners did not use it much and I can see no damage on it at all (just lucky, I guess). The way I read the class action, you can only get a fix if you have existing damage.
It seems like I have 2 choices; wait until damage occurs and then get the fix from WW, or do somethinng now (on my own) to prevent any future damage. I know that performing "self service" will likely void the warrenty and limit any future claim for damages, but I also cant help thinking a little reinforcement added now would be one heck of a good insurance policy. Even if it costs me $$$.
Other related background information includes the fact that I live 3 days away from the nearest WW service center, and my worthless brother-in-law has only one redeaming quility, he can weld like a fiend and has the worlds biggest pile of scrap metal in his back yard.
All that said, what fix does WW provide? Do they just straighten the bent parts and add reinforcement? What kind of reinforcement and where is it added?
Whats the best way to reinforce the frame?

Take it to your BIL- just about any monkey on the planet should be able to weld better than the retards they got squirtin' the Pigeon poo on the Trailers
perhaps WW would be willing to allow a Welding Shop to perform the service- Worth a call.

Yep that is what they did to mine.............
I checked the 20 or so WW supelites in our storage yard and this is what I saw....... All the 05s had 1/8" steel tongues. Most of the 06s had 3/16" but I did see 3 FS2300 with 1/8" steel. The 07s all had 3/16".
My new thicker tongue is still bending 18 months later.

it's been over 2 years sincemine was replaced and so far no problems.. Call WW and talk to Mike, Jeffy...
