We are planning a trip to Colorado Bend the second weekend in Jan and wanted to know if any can give me a heads up on where to stay. Electric an water is all we really need, but I'm having trouble finding this kind of site in this area. We are thinking about staying over at Inks Lake an just driving to Colorado Bend for a day trip. Any suggestions would be great..............

My understanding is Colorado Bend is walk in tent camping only. Unless it's changed recently.

Inks Lake SP is a nice park around 50 miles from Colorado Bend, which is a primative Park.We enjoy staying at Inks. Might consider visiting Longhorn Caverns SP right next to Inks Lake
