In case your'e thinking about it, I own a 33' Thor/Four Winds Dutchmen Kodiak with the Duramax. I love the chassis, but cannot recommend the coach itself. Too many issues with it. If you are a gluttun for punishment, tho, I'll sell it to you.

FWIW, I know of a few Greyhawk owners, and I think overall they like the coach.

I have a '07 33DS and am happy with it so far. Just bought it in August and haven't used it much though. Haven't had some of the issues others have had "YET" but I like the layout and plan on keeping it. To me if you get a good price, go for it.

Problems:
Leaky jack, fixed
House battery not recharging, Wiring problem , fixed
Head liner drooping in bedroom, not fixed yet
Leaky plumbing in bathroom and kitchen, fixed

All being taken care of under warrantee

I think you are ahead with a Jayco product. Not only is the Jayco better built in quality, but the wheelbase on the 33' Jayco is about a foot longer than the Dutchmen 33'..... my Dutchmen has a 213.5" wheelbase.... and a short wheelbase can cause servios steering control problems.

Also, Four Winds includes in their owners manual advice on loading the coach for good weight distribution, stating that if one side is heavier than the other, this can be a safety issue. Then they build their coaches 1800# heavier on the drivers side... so much for having safety concerns.

33DS here. I have been pleased overall with the coach. Intermittent problem with the heater not wanting to fire with the auto igniter and after 3 tries, it shuts down. My local Atwood service took a look at it and felt it was an problem with a very tight wire that would intermittently arc. I was skeptical, but after they loosened the wire I have been unable to duplicate the problem in my driveway. Other than that, nothing more than a loose screw or minor fit and finish type of complaint.

I would definitely buy the same unit again.

The bang for the buck makes this an attractive choice.

We have had a 32SS since Aug and really like it. Drives a lot better than our E450 did, both solo and towing. (legal now with the big trailer) Love the big gen and two A/C's, nice in the summer time at the riv! So far only a few small issues, nothing big, knock on wood.
