Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I'm putting together our itinerary. The suggestion will complete our trip without missing anything. Keep them coming,

I would not miss DiBella's . It is an Italian restaurant on 19th and 31st. In my opinion it is the best in the state.

Both retired. 1 year until son finishes college, then financial freedom! We lost Max, the Schnoodle after 16 wonderful years but now enjoy Nicklaus Von Schnoodle (Nicky), who is a full time job. Our new Allegro Bay 34 XB is wonderful.

I second DiBella's. Maybe as good as you would find on the east coast. The Strand is a great place to stroll and the winters in Galveston are not too harsh.

Sportsmen, "Shrimp and Stuff" sounds like my kind of place. Next trip back to Texas, I'm there!

I can't find Jamaica Creek. Do you mean Jamaica Beach RV (http://www.jbrv.net/)? It's the newest on the Island and is supposed to be nice.
Anyway, I'd like to recommend Fisherman's Wharf at the foot of 21st overlooking the Elissa sailing ship, which you can tour, and next to the Strand. Validated free parking. Also, the Moody Gardens Festival of Lights, 6 to 10pm, Dec 16 - Jan 5.

p.s We still celebrate Christmas down here.
