While going south this fall we got into rain and something started beeping under the dash, well it sounded like it was under the dash, but I think it was coming from the generator compartment, front center.. No warning lights and all gauges were normal.. Checked all fluids at the next stop, everything OK.. It must be a sensor that is getting wet and causing it to beep.. Any ideas?? Thanks for any help..

Did your ABS light or ATC light come on? That happened to me and the d&&& buzzer would not shut up. One of the sensors got wet. How we found what one it was is we had some one in the coach with the engone running and in gear. The wheel by wheel we soaked it with a hose. Was the right front. Also if your water temp sender on the engine gets wet at the connection it will cause the same buzzer to go off. Some of that dialectric grease. (i think that is what it is called)on the contacts wil solve that. ( the grease that is non conductive)

I have a 2004 Diplomat which had the same problem.
Monaco in Elkhart and my local dealer worked on it several times. The problem is normally the oil sending unit on the engine. Monaco will tell you to seal the sensor with high temp silcone or undercar spray. Another problem area is the front air tank pressure sensor (if you have air brakes). I replace both sensors and it still beeped. Finally my local dealer and I decided to cut the alarm wire from the oil sending unit which was located in the steering boot. The newer Monaco's no longer have this warning sound installed.

I also had the same problem on an '04 Diplomat and it was fixed by sealing the oil sender sensor. Was a common Monaco problem for two or three years of production.

Likewise to Jallen4 and jcarnevale. Had the problem on our 2004 Knight. It was the oil sensor on the engine and was fixed by sealing with silicone. If you get the right person at Monaco they may be able to help. Several folks here had the problem and the fix with success.

Ok, I will offer another idea. We had a similar situation last year. We were sitting at the time, and after a night of rain, we heard a whistling noise coming from somewhere under the dash near the brake/accelerator pedals. After poking around, I found the noise to be coming from the generator compartment. Our issue was actually a relay that had the plastic cover pop off a bit, allowing the contact to get wet. I popped out the relay and dried it off, put the cover back on, and it seemed fine. I called Tiffin to inquire about what i could expect if this relay was truly bad, and they just sent me a new one. I don't remember right now what the relay was for, but i could go check if anyone is iterested.

On Edit: Completed my thoughts.

As above, the posters are correct, mine is a 04 and I was driving down towards the Keys a couple years back, and I heard this sound, I called my tech on my cell phone and explained in detail what was happening.

His question to me was " .....is it raining?....."

This has been a royal pain, once we drove for 3 days with it beeping loudly......

dielectic solves it...... for awhile.......

I am thinking also of snipping the alarm....

You can hear the oil sensor in the back on the engine 37' away up in front going down the road??

This sounds like it is under the dash.. I don't think with my old ears that I could hear that..Thanks for your replies..
