I came across this company, RV University, that offers a wind range of info for the beginning RVer.

There is a ton of info about mechanical systems, towing, safety, etc., and much is available for free on the website without needing to buy anything, although they do have a catalog of DVDs for those wanting a more permamnent reference file.

I'm not affiliated with this firm, only posting this as an FYI and good source of reference info for the new RVer.

Probably OK but I still prefer the live seminars offered by Life on Wheels at various locations around the US. We have attende their Idaho session twice (2 years apart and both time learned way more than we could have imagined. Will be going back one ofthese years !

That website can be a source of good information. Keep in mind it is written by/from the experiences and knowledge of one couple for the most part. All information you see on the www must/should be verified by another source before acceptance as completely accurate. Right here-never accept my comments as completely accurate without verification from another source. Only one man was ever right 100% of the time.

Hi Ray,
This is Dawn Polk from RVUniversity.com
I also strongly agree with you that any information on the web should be double checked for accuracy as there is so much erroneous information that anyone can post and even refer to themselves as an "Expert" in a certain field.

My husband Mark, who is the provider of content for RV U and RV Education 101 researches his subject matter very well, and has tremendous experience in the field. If you like, you can see his qualifications here

Mark offers this free content because we felt that there is not enough emphasis placed on properly educating the RV consumer on the complexities of owning and safely operating an RV.

I think there are a lot of dedicated people on this Open Roads forum and it is a fabulous resource for RVers.
