Creeker4life, It is my understanding that their are 4 bumps that stick up in the bed with the Reese.

My BIL bought a Superglide when he had a long bed originally. Didn't need it, but he knew when needing to upgraded his truck, he would be going to a crew cab, short bed. And he wanted to buy only one hitch to last for years.

We have the B&W. We pulled gooseneck with our first fiver, and now we have the hitch with the new one. DH loves it because he can pull the hitch out when he hunts or needs to haul something. It only takes him about 5-10 minutes to remove or put it back in the tow vehicle.
Hope this helps. Happy RVing!

I have the B&W with companion 5th. I love the fact that I have a gooseneck, 5th wheel and standard Ford receiver. I am ready to tow anything (within truck and hitch limts) and have a clean bed when not towing.

My first question is how big of a 5vr you planning on pulling? The B&W is rated at 18K.
When I bought my truck it all ready had the B&W turnover gooseneck installed. It was a no brainer for me to go with the Companion even with my shortbed. My 5vr has a extended pinbox from Pilgrim. For everything I need and where I have towed and backed in so far, I have never come close to hitting my cab.

I have the B&W in my truck and am most happy with ut. I can install and remove it without much trouble and don't need somebody to do it for me. I had a Reese 20K before and it was too heavy for this old man to handle. The B&W is one of the better investments I made for our RV activities.

Will not coment on the Pullrite as I have not had any experiance with it but the B-W has been trouble free. I am 68 years old and can get it in an out myself buy pulling a couple of pins whitch will make it 2 piece an lite enough to handle by hand.

Another B&W owner. Looked at both. The Pullrite is definitely a quality product, but for the money, I liked the B&W. I needed a clean bed, too (I build cabinetry and furniture as a hobby and didn't want to slide sheetgoods over the rails), and it really is a one man job to remove and replace the companion hitch. I store mine in my fiver's basement when not in use.

My SuperGlide removal is also a one man job. Hook it up to the 5W, un pin it, and use front elevators of 5W to lift it out. SuperRails and all. Then move my table under it and lower it down and unhitch. Then just remove the 1/4 turn pins and the bed is clear. And roll the table into my garage. No manual lifting or sweat involved at all.
Built the table with wheels in an hour. Same height as Tailgate on my TV, so re-install only involves rolling the table to back of tailgate and sliding hitch back into position.

I have a B&W now, was in the truck when I bought it. Old truck had a Pull-Rite, both are good, probably the two best. I suggest getting the one you feel most comfortable with and the best deal.
