Let me suggest this, when you take it apart lay the parts out EXACTLY the way they should be put back together. I know, because I didn't and it cost me more time trying to figure out why I couldn't get the clamp to fit around the bottom cover(the base). I can't remember, what I did, but it was a little thing. I'm not sure, it might have been, not putting the clamp on in exactly the same position. The nut you tighten or loosen is at the back and I think I tried to fudge it and have the nut more to the side, so it would be easer to get to. Well, anyway good luck and I hope it goes well for you!!

I was going to replace my seals also, but when I called sealand they wanted to know why I just didn't clean them, when they were out. They also told me unless they were damaged, they would clean up.
They were correct, they cleaned up and are working well. Mine had a bad calsium build up on them, would suspect yours are the same, besides if it saves you $50.00.

Did the job today and it holds water perfectly. Like everyone said, it wasn't terribly hard just a lot of work cleaning the calcium deposits off the ball and under the bowl. Thanks again for all the help.

I did mine twice.
The first time I didn't align everythin just right and it never would hold a water seal. The second time was perfect.
Yes, they get a build up of "stuff" and it can be cleaned off.
Interesting that the instructions said to use a non petrolium based silicon to coat the gaskets. It was hard to find, but found it at Camping World.
Glad you got yours done the first time.

Thanks, Frank. I sprayed some 303 protectant from Camping World on the seal and ball. I think that I will order another set of seals while I know where to get them and have them ready when the problem returns. I may even get a new ball assembly since it was the hardest to clean.
