MN has been below 0 nightly for at least 1/2 of Dec. Maybe it don't start until 2008.

Hope this works out to be true... my family's first outing ever will begin in late February and although heading South, we'll be starting out from Ohio and I know it's miserably cold there in the winter.

Read the article and you will see they are calling for a COLDER winter this winter than last.

This winter is predicted to be warmer than the 30-year norm. For the country as a whole, NOAA's heating degree day forecast for December through February projects a 2.8 percent warmer winter than the 30-year normal,

but a 1.3 percent cooler winter than last year.

Oh, that's just great for us. This past year was the hottest we've ever experienced in six years of living here. Last week, it was in the high 80's here--in December! Winter is the only break we get from brutal temperatures all year, and now they're calling for that to be warmer! Us Floridians like a little cold weather, at least some of us do, and as of yet, we're not getting it! My wife said yesterday, "I wish we could have some snow for Christmas." I said, "Snow in central Florida for Christmas--that would have to be some CHristmas miracle!"

It went from that to "sorta raining", weird.

Hope you're having fun in the RGV.
