Are you sure your battery is good? Usually clicking is a symtom of a bad or discharged battery/low voltage.

JoyandCon,
This is a post the I submitted a few months ago with the same problem, hope it works for you.
Took my B+ for a trip to Lancaster PA, for the Holiday 7 days. Boy was it hot, but wouldn't you know, the generator would not start after I shut it down from the day before. I just would hear a clicking from the solenoid and a fault code of #32 telling me that I was not getting enough current to turn over the starter and to check all of battery connections. After I cleaned all of the connections ( something you really want to do in a parking lot)it still gave me the same fault code and would not start. Thankfully I had my laptop and was able to steal someone's unsecured Internet connection. I went onto the RV forum and did a search for ONAN and wouldn't you know I found someone else that has had the same problem. It seems that the piston stopped at TDC and there was nor enough punch from the 12V system to turn it over, the fix is to get a wrench onto the flywheel and get it off of TDC( Top Dead Center ) and it should start. That's all it was!!!! I had visions of having to come home and go to a ONAN dealer and hand over a few $$$$ for the repair. Not only that but having the RV tied up for days. I was also wondering , if that was all that it was, would a dealer tell me that and just turn the flywheel over and I would be on my way ? Or would I have had to pay the $100.00 deductible I have on my extended warranty and considered myself lucky? PS: Also love my new RT-170 but I will not be giving up my B+ anytime soon. After being in both for a while I love the added room in the B+ on a trip , and the RT-170 works out great as our daily driver and my solo trips up to Canada for fishing. Having to maintain two RV's may be a little bothersome in the future, but for now I find it very enjoyable. B-Plus

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was not able to get at the problem today. Will try this weekend.
I will try the easy suggestions, first.
If all fails, how do I get at the flywheel? Is it an easy task that can be done in the cold?
Thanks again all of you for the quick and concise responses.
Hope I can help in the future.

If you open the cover it's on the left hand side. You have to reach in with a 5/16 ? open end or a socket and just turn it a bit. Reach in with your hand and you can feel the flywheel and you will know what I am talking about. Yes it can be done in the cold, good luck!

To check for stuck at top center or a stuck bendix:
Remove the access cover and if you reach into the side left of the divider you will feel the flywheel.
I use a 3/8" drive ratchet with a short extension & a 9/16" socket (might be 1/2" - been a while) and put it on the bolt holding the flywheel. I give the flywheel about a half a turn once its free.
Starts right up after that.

Mind did this a while back. It was corrosion at the negative connection to the frame.

Had a 6 inch snowfall last night 12/28. Will not be able to try the suggestions for a day or two.
Will let all of you know how I did.
Thanks to all of you.

I almost thought I was reading about my own Onan 4000 prob with starter switch. Never a problem till it would not start and made a spinning sound when switch was pushed.
Finally went to Camping World told them it needed a starter and sure enough, it was fine after they installed one. $400 was the cost 2 hrs was the time. Hope you don't have to go that route.

Went out to the motorhome yesterday, turned the flywheel (spins freely).
Took the battery out and charging it. Will clean all connections and reinstall. (High temperature today in the teens, this weekend will be in the mid 40's)
Will make sure all connections are tight.
Will report back.
Also, getting a BatteryMinder Plus.

The same thing happened to me last week. All I got was a clicking. I tried starting it at the generator itself and same thing. Mine has a primer switch. After a couple of times holding the primer about 13-20 secs, it started right up.
