We bought our MH in the fall of '02, and never had trouble with the generator, same as yours. Last fall I was doing some service work in the generator and discovered that the nut on the solenoid stud where the battery cable hooks, was cross threaded and never tighten. I remover the battery cable and had to remove the solenoid to fix the damaged threads. If I remember right they are 5/16 NF. Then put everything back to gather. That really surprised because there had never been any trouble, the generator always started. The lug on the cable was twisted a little and there was enough tension that it always worked.
