moach1, I wouldn't say it was slow. I did the bad thing and rode alone part of the time as my wife and kids didn't want to go out, but they knew my routes. I was flying along until I raised in elevation enough and started choking on the fact I didn't jet my non-EFI quad. I ran into several guys on bikes and had a nice chat each time, they were flying along on the trails I saw them on.

The temperatures will be in the high 80s and lower 90s... could hit 100 but not likely... and as soon as you get some elevation you could be down to 65. You will love it. You likely will not need a reservation but if you want to stay all together I would suggest that you do call in advance. I have stayed in all three and I suppose for different reasons I will stick with Lizzie and Charlie's. There are great single track trails... if you come to ride those however please make sure that you have all your gear... The trails get tight and I have seen some pretty major injuries with cycle riders due to trees.

You will have a blast...

Thanks Guys. Found Lizzies and Charlies site. Looks to be the larest of the 3 parks. I did check the weather for that time of year and yes high 80's low 90's. A little warm but think we'll handle as it usally starts to hit triple digets here that time of year. We may try late June as well. May be four family's with 3 haulers, 1 motor home + a additonal truck and flat bed. We will have Rhino's, quads, a small 150cc kart and bikes.

Probably 9 days total. Probably a full days drive up and back. Thinking of staying 4 to 5 days and maybe do day trip or 2 to Bryce and or Zion then hitting the Grand canyon on the way home. We'll have to see how it goes.

Thanks again for all your help.

moach1 - I didn't jet and really wish I had. Many of the trails will put you up 10,000+ and some even higher. I headed out on trail 77 and quickly found why I should have jetted my ATV, lost major power and speed. I kept chugging away though, albeit very slowly and eventually made it to the top and was able to cruise down the other side. At several points I was thinking about turning around. There is a shop in Ridgefield that will jet your ATV pretty cheap, can't think of the name right now. I wouldn't go again without EFI or jetting my ATV.

I was there for the 2006 ATV Jamboree in Richfield held in September and had a blast there. You definately want to rejet your quad for the elevation. Richfield was right there I think about the same elevation as Maryvale and it was almost 6,000ft and you just go up from there. I have a polaris 330 2x4 that doesn't have tons of power to begin with but had no problems at all. We rode all over the place and mostly stayed on the most difficult trails. A great website to visit is www.atvutah.com On that site you can talk to all the guys that are regulars there and you can tell them what kind of riding you are wanting and they can give you some great suggestions. That is how I planned all my rides and it turned out perfect. There is also a book and map combo for sale on the site that is very useful. Make sure you visit Barney lake while you are there.
