I tow a 2005 Saturn Ion 3 Quad coupe. Once hooked up, I just turn the ignition switch to 'ACC' (not to 'ON' because that allows the headlights to turn on if it gets dark enough... as I learned when the battery was dead after towing through a rainstorm). Anyhow, I then make sure that the radio is switched off and the heater motor is switched off. I think what they mean by cancelling the accessories. I've never had an issue with the transmission not staying in neutral.

Have a great trip.

"Cancel" must be Canadian for "Turn Off".

We tow a 1997 Saturn wagon and do the same as the previous post -- turn key to acc and make sure radio and heat/AC are off, with car in neutral. We've never had a problem following this procedure.

I too pull the green fuse - easy. BTW - suggest you always carry an extra one in the event you drop/lose it.

We tow a 99 SL2 and turn the key to the first ACC click, the second one will turn on accessories. Put in neutral, install brake buddy and go.

NOTE- not all Saturns are towable.

I just installed a circuit breaker on my Vue to replace the 30 amp Maxifuse. ( not my idea, got great instructions from a member of this forum). It was a real simple job. Now I don't have to open the hood and pull or replace the fuse everytime I tow.
