About a month after we picked our Accord up from the body shop, I had a doe jump off a small hillside and run into the side of the car. Yes, the first time the car was in the shop it was being repaired following MAJOR collision damage from hitting a buck. I gave up after the second incident and refused to repair it again. Why give the furry little %^&$#% a fresh target? That was the end of hitting deer with THAT car, but we have hit a few since.

Hi: I had a deer leave a nice little imprint of his hind end in the front bumper of my POV pickup a few year back and a buffalo take out the grill on my company truck while I was standing still. I once worked with a guy in Alaska who had a moose destroy his VW Bug and send him to the hospital. Nope, he didn't hit the animal. The old bull was just plain mad. Bill

DH was driving down a country road in Michigan early one summer morning when a doe dashed out of the woods, smacked the drivers' side door, flopped onto the windshield and broke it. She slid off the other side, bawling, then jumped up and ran into the woods. (We didn't even get the dang meat!)
He had his window down. She broke the side mirror, which flew into the car and cut his face.
Old car; only had PLPD, so we fixed it ourselves.

I have hit and killed one deer, had one jump the front corner of the truck while it was moving at about 15 MPH,and nearly hit several others over the years. All this was just with my work truck. In the last 22 years,I have probably driven over 400,000 miles in the 20,000 square mile territory I cover,so it is a wonder I haven't hit more of them.I once counted over 100 deer along just the one side of a 5-6 mile stretch of highway during a particularly cold winter several years back..

A looooooog time ago, in upstate NY(Cayuga lake Rt89), late one night(~1AM) I was going pretty fast(+80))I had a good size buck run FULL tilt into the drivers door of my cherished 1970 Nova, bounced off me and into a VW bug coming the other way nearly peeling his fender off. The deer then GOT UP a ran off! He caved in my door big time (+4 inches)and and even the roof "C" pillar/quarter panel plus ripped off the chrome side trim strip all the way back. I have never forgot that night, that buck moved my car 3 feet sideways and just freaked me out, I can't believe no one got hurt and neither me or the VW driver lost control of our cars.

I hit a deer with the limousine.
You cannot imagine the jokes and one-liners after that....

When they run into you don't their insurance have to cover it ---here in Pa we have always had a major problem with deer kamikazes--that's why the ins companies lobby (I wont accuse them of bribery) for increased hunting limits and hhmm wonder who paid to introduce coyotes into Pa --but we no longer have the numbers of deer we had 20-30 years ago

We had a friend killed on his way to work early one morning by swerving to avoid a deer and wrapped his car around a tree....I am very paranoid about deer now.
