Been living full time in our 5th wheel since Feb 1st when we moved out anticipating a Feb 28th close date. That agreement got extended to March 15th only to be canceled when her loan fell through. April brought a new purchase agreement which collasped last friday. Everything's in storage but a couple of large garage sales have helped deplete the storage needs. The time's giving us good experiences living full time in the RV. We want to sell the Fifth wheel and truck and purchase a Tiffin Gas Coach. We're visiting the Tiffin plant next Monday and will keep our fingers crossed for a residential purchase agreement soon.

Let me add my congrats to the chorus, Rockhill. I am SOOOOO glad to see you get a deal and get it CLOSED! (Sorry for the belatedness, but have been busy and gone for a while so not on the board regularly.)
Glad you started the thread.
Now keep it going for the rest of those waiting / moving toward a sale.
Keep up the positive thoughts for all!

Congratulations Davesgone! - Welcome to the Freedom Club!
I gotta tell everyone. What kept me from going insane waiting for the house to sell was the dream of driving the MH to closing and grabbing that check and hitting the road!
Well nothing could have been further than the truth.
There are so many things that I didn't think of that I need to do before I can leave. I reserved a CG spot locally fully expecting to pull out in no longer than 2 weeks, well I am on day.....

AND I still haven't finished up everything. W
We've had threads about how to get rid of your stuff, which I found VERY helpful. Maybe we could start one about what ALL you still need to do 'after' the closing to help us 'first time' full timers get outta dodge quicker.

They recanted. Jeeze. Went too fast for them...but it was them that was doing the racing. Oh well.
But congrats to you Dave.
Now I'm going to go shuffle off and pout.

Bummer - but there's another buyer round the corner so just hang in there.

Maybe you should start it - I can't imagine what all you could have to do that would take weeks
We had an advantage, we moved out before we even listed the house and our buyers took is as is (with all the contents) so all that was left was to switch off the utilities and we were gone. We had already done the change of address and mail forwarding before we moved out of the house.
Our list -
Change of address (post office) and arrange mail forwarding.
Notify everyone of new address.
Update drivers license, voters registration, vehicle registrations
Turn off utilities, phone, any services (pool, yard, etc)
Get out of dodge

We have a contract on our farm but got to wait on the other folks to get their home sold. They have a couple serious "lookers" right now so we do hope it won't be much longer. Can't wait to be on the road full time! So, here we sit waiting.

I hope you appreciate how hard it is to resist McDonald and farm
Those contingency offers can be a real nail biter. Here's hoping they sell/close soon so you can get out here and join the freedom club.

Hey trkhelp, I do wish they had this "McDonald Farm" ! These folks want this place as bad as we want out. So the sell is a sure thing, just a matter of nail biting when!
