bumping this topic up.
It's been a couple weeks since there have been any updates.
Congratulations little leno. You must be so excited.
For the rest of us, no posts means no new sales. So are you having many showings? Any offers?
For us we have not had any showings and reduced our price yesterday by $8000. Not discouraged as it only takes one buyer.
Tell us how it's going for you.

No activity here yet. Still only two showings since May 1. Good feedback on each. We are not discouraged, because we knew our house would take a while to sell -- needs a buyer looking for a historic home. Like the above poster noted, it only takes one! My husband has to work until Nov. 25 anyway, so we're stuck in this area regardless.
We have decided to move into the motorhome and hit the road December 1, whether the house has sold or not, and spend the winter down south. We are leaving it furnished while we are gone (to show better). Murphy's Law tells me that it will sell while we are enjoying the sunny south and we'll have to make a mad dash back to Indiana in January or February to sell all of our furniture!! Oh, well, I guess that's a good problem to have, if it turns out that way.
Our thinking is that this five or six month "trial run" will educate us big time on things we should have brought, should have left at home, etc., etc., when we can still come back here next summer and make adjustments. Still, I would prefer that the house sells sooner rather than later!

travelwithwhippets - sell it with the furniture that's what we did. Sold it with everything as is/where is and didn't have to go back for anything.
Do those of you still waiting have a big bonus in there for for selling agent? I think that more than reducing the price will get showings. Worked for us anyway.
Good luck all- keep the faith and we'll keep sending some positive vibes your way. See you all out here soon

Ours became officially on the market last Thursday. We were doing up some of the last few things we needed to do, and had a couple of cars stop for the number, so we will see. To my way of thinking it will sell when its supposed to and there's nothing I can do to change that. So I started a new beading project to pass the time.
Here's positive vibes sent out to all those who are waiting that your time is SOON!

Yes, bonus for the buyer's agent helped me too. At the closing it was Cash$$$ in an envelope, didn't show up in any paperwork, don't know how it works in other states.

FL it was a check to the agent at closing. Was in the paperwork, but it goes straight to the agent and they don't have to split it with the broker.

What would be an appropriate bonus for the agent? Our house is listed at $299K. I think it sounds like a great idea.
