I called today to see about getting my on/off switch button on laptop repaired. I gave out a couple weeks ago. The laptop still works great, i'm just concerned that the button will finish breaking and I won't even be able to get it going. We purchaced an extended warrentie with this when we purchased it, so it is still in affect for another year. I called them this morning and they are sending me the stuff I need to send them the laptop and it will take about 10-14 days to fix and send back. I know I am going to go into withdrawls. I have to send it to Florida.
What will I do without my access to RVnet everyday, won't be able to check my email, or do anything else. This sucks. I will let you know when it actually happens, and will say my seeyas at that time.

CyberCafe? Local library? Loaner? Smartphone? Kiosk at the mall?
Just some possibilities. I could not get through the day without a computer.
Good Luck!

Sorry to hear your computer will be in intensive care. Hang in there! You might want to check your local drugstore, perhaps there is a patch for this sort of withdrawal.

There are two of us now that DS has gone off to college. That leaves us with only 4 workable computers (he took his two). We are not taking a chance that we will be without internet and email!!!!
Like the couple sitting in the living room talking. She turned to him and said, "If I ever get in such bad shape that I am hooked to a machine and only being kept alive by bottled fluids promise me you'll pull the plug. That is no quality of life."
So he turned off her computer and threw out her bottle of wine!
Both retired. 1 year until son finishes college, then financial freedom! We lost Max, the Schnoodle after 16 wonderful years but now enjoy Nicklaus Von Schnoodle (Nicky), who is a full time job. Our new Allegro Bay 34 XB is wonderful.

If I want to see the waves, I'll drive to the coast, they should be hitting hard today.
Besides a coasty all most got me busted when I was a teenager. I don't like the coast gaurd. Not true, they do a great job, and being a coastal state they are greatly appreciated by many, including me. Dh reminded me that the niece in Sweet Home has a computer. I may have access after all.
And I thought the WAVES were Navy.
We don't have a cyber cafe here, and the library here is so old and musty, everytime I go in there it triggers an asthma attack. Will have to go get the niece to let me use hers.
And Jack are you sure you are not DB, hiding in those hills up there?
