We are currently snowed in in Mammoth,CA and all is fine with our 50 Amp hook-up. The house batteries have showed full charge for the last 6 days BUT, last night I looked at the monitor and they were @ 12.2V and falling, and don't seem to be charging.

I have temporarily hooked up a car battery charger to them so they don't die completely.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what to check or look for?

What is the temperature outside??

The reason I ask is that I understand that the Freedom Combi Inverter/Charger operating range is 32f-104f.

While I'm not sure what brand or type of charger you have I took a guess with your Xantrex 2000 link

Or

Check the DIP switch settings on the remote control panel, you maybe able to change the settings.

Temperature should no make any difference. I have operated the same inverter/chager down to -8 degrees. Does the panel show it is charging? Or does it have a red light? I had the same problem a few years ago and there was no indication of a problem except the batteries were not charging. I connected a 6-amp charger to keep the batteries charged until I could get to a service facility a week later. I turned out to be a defective circuit board.

Thanks all!

Now that I have some daylight and light snow I will pull the manuals and get the OEM meter out and check a few more things.

My ProSine often locks up when connected to shore power, I suspect spikes or surges. I must power it down and restart it (with a dip switch on the side) and it then reboots and begins charging. Check your manual for the location of a On-Off switch or a reset button. I can not correct the lock up condition from the remote panel.

Good luck
