It was a Beautiful day by N.Y standards in Jan. Almost 50 so I decide to go to rv to see how things were holding up after winter storm dumped 14 inches of snow which has since melted. I know I winterized it turned all appliances off to include propane. Apparrently not!! It was cold when I her to bed.Anyway I opend the door to hear a blower running and it was quite warm inside. I DIDNT!!
Yes I did leave the furnace on although set to 60 degrees !@#$e$^&&&%$#$$@$!!! I was surprized to find the blower running and the furnace still working I had just filled the 2 tanks as I do every year that way I dont have to worry about it now because they are both almost emty. I was very surprized the house batterys ran this long without being charged. Iwas wondering if anyone else has done this or am I the only @#$%$##$$##&$% That has done this. Thank god this doesnt appeared to have damaged anything.

You are not the first and certainly not the last...

Look at the bright side... Nothing was going to freeze and moisture was under control..

well that is why you use a battery disconnect then you wouldn't have to worry about it. I am sure something like that would've happened to me though.

Running the furnace shouldn't damage anything, that's what they're intended to do. About the only danger was running down your batteries and THEY could have been ruined if flattened then frozen. How long had it been running without being connected to shore power? I know my two 30 lb. tanks will run my furnace for a week or two even in sub freezing temps but my two trojans wouldn't last more than about 3 days.

Never done that yet but my time will probably come so to prevent that I shut off the LP Valves, AC Power and remove the Battery. I also make visits to the side yard to see the girl every few weeks just to check on things after a rain or snowstorm, see if any leaks on ceiling or maybe unwelcome visitors found there way inside.

Pretty amazing it ran that long on the batteries and LP! Guess you could Dry Camp in the Winter a long time!

I do make sure the LP is off. This is the first time I left anything on. Thanx for your replys. I have all kinds of luck mostly Bad that why Im concerned about the blower motor. Thanx again Happy camping your the best!

Something doesn't seem right. A month of running the furnace in winter and it is still going! Most people complain that they can't get through a long weekend of camping without draining the batteries. You've just done ten times that. Something seems off. You sure someone isn't pulling your leg?
