I will lend my camper to some friends, the ones I know will pay to fix it if they screw up.

Very interesting topic. When we took delivery of our camper in 2003 we told each of our three adult children they could borrow it. None has so far, perhaps they feel the old man loves his camper and are afraid of damaging it. We have lent the truck to one for moving several times. However I would not lend it to someone who wasn't family.

Just a short story. About 30 years ago I borrowed a neighbor's cabover to travel about 20 miles to a Boy Scout Encampment. It was a family camping weekend, and my pregnant wife and my 3 children were going. One was a cubscout, the two girls were younger, one an infant. I don't think we would have gone if we had to tent. It was a fantastic family weekend. That summer, instead of hoteling in San Diego, our regular vacation, we purchased a 28ft Establishment Class C. It is the beginning of a very long story, as we have been RVing ever since. I owe allot to that neighbor. Thank You.

Before we got our first tc, my MIL let us borrow her trailer.
She has since sold her trailer and we, in return, have let her borrow both tc and tt.
Otherwise, I can't think of anyone else I would borrow from or lend my recreational vehicles.

An old cliche comes to mind....
"Don't ask to borrow my Harley and I won't ask to borrow your wife!"

or like my gun...
".... when they pry my cold dead fingers from it..."

guess that means an emphatic... let me see.... NO!!!!!

Well, the simplicity of my situation is, outside Craig and Matt, I don't have any friends that own a pickup truck, or for the vast majority have a license to even drive. Hell, I haven't even got my wife-to-be to get her license yet.

So, the question of borrowing the camper really hasn't come up, since A.) Both Craig and Matt have their own already B.) Everyone else is kinda scared of the idea of driving something 11' tall, for some reason.
