Goose/Whitetail Hunting camp since 1986 on the Eastern Shore of MD
Thats my fiver on the left, and my OLD '85 Shasta TT that has never moved from that spot(until this year when we moved it and did a total tearout reno on it)
complete with steamed crabs and adult beverages!
and the fire at night of course.
one of my favorite places to go year after year...
we can see the chesapeake bay, 2 farm ponds, and no houses from our "site"

Anybody have any locations in Jefferson or Washington National forest in Virginia that they would like to share? I kinda need a little room since the unit is a 38' fiver. Thanks.
What is that...is it a type of grill that is elec. or what? We have gone camping too this summer...with Colorado-statewide fire ban on...we were able to have an open fire. The only thing that was allowed in the Nat'l. forest were propane grills/stoves. So needless to say...when it got too dark and cold...inside we went.
That is a Frontgate infrared propane grill. It was just enough to warm the hands while we watched the sun drop.
We are thinking about getting a Lil red gas campfire at Camping world. It's tiny but so are the fires I build. That way we can still have our fire and not worry about being the next guy on the news saying how sorry they are and that it was a accident.
It appears the East Coast off the grid sites are missing here... I guess no one on the East Coast dows any camping back in the woods...

There are sure a lot of nice off the grid spots in the North ALA, North Ga, and NC area... I think I am going to spend some time in the PISGAH Natl Forest and get some mud on my tires...
With the ecomony the way it is these days I'm a bit skittish to get out by myself anymore..
