Anyone out there purchased 1 of the new KZ "Inferno" models yet? I'd like to hear some first impressions. It has very different interior layout from ordinary THs and has stairs to the loft.

I looked at one last weekend and thought the layout was great!

Drawbacks- the fuel station only holds 30 gallons and the generator pulls off of it as well. Also, the counter tops and overall quality were not what I expected in light of the fact you hear so much about KZ quality.

On the plus side- they are about 10k less than a comparably set up Weekend Warrior and the kegerator in the garage would be hit with friends and family!

I just picked up one. I like so far. Layout was the main reason we chose it over a Raptor.

No complaints yet.

Listed empty weight of 13495 and a pin weight of 3039 and you're towing with an F250???

Looking at Ford's site, the most you can tow with the best setup F250 is 16100.

The Inferno I looked at had a sticker listing the weight just over 14,000lbs. Let's see, 110 gallons of water at just over 900 lbs. You're almost to 15,000 lbs now. Not much room to actually load stuff into that trailer or even add people to the truck.

As for the pin weight, using Ford's listing of 20% of the trailer weight puts you over 3220 lbs of tongue weight.

Drive safe!!!!

I don't want to get into a argument over what is or isn't safe. The numbers are a general guidline.

It pulled it fine for now. First trip out was when I went to go get it.

I doubt I will carry a full tank of water very often. I will put some in there, but most places I am going to go will have hookups.

The hookups will definitely help keep the weight down. When I travel we always need all the water we can carry. I didn't want to start an argument either. Enjoy your rig...

The only thing that worries me is whether the 6.0 has enough balls to get up some mountians with the rig. Like Pikes Peak and such.

Haha.... you don't take a trailer up to Pikes Peak..

Oh and BTW.... You're probably referring to grades in general... And when I take just the toy hauler (with quads), I've got 16,000 behind me... Swap the quads for my wife's car and it's 17,000.... When I tandem tow the jetskis behind it with the quads inside, I've got 18,000...

No matter which weight/configuration I have, it pulls the same. I run about 65-70 mph most of the time and it does just fine. You might lose a MPH or three on average grades, but nothing to be concerned about.
