"in California we are a CONSUMER oriented state."

LOL Oh, I'm glade you cleared that up for us. Now I understand why everybodies rates are higher in CA than they are for pretty must all the rest of us folks across the country.

Since they can't raise the rates for those that have a reasonable reason to they raise therates for everyone. Sounds alot like why an 80 year old grandmother has to be "randonly searched at the airport. We sure wouldn't want any profiling going on out that in such a progressive state like CA!!

Sure hope you don't read the good book, wow! Dude what part of your own post didn't you get. (NOT PERMITTED UNLESS allowed by regulator) Regulator is the Department of Insurance in CA. They said NO.. Thus CANT.. Your splitting hairs and were done getting off topic. If mods delete my post, you've hurt many Californians from being informed, enough.

No hard feeling here, happy trails!

Credit report is just a witch hunt scam by the insurance companies. They look for glitches and dwell on them. To correct flaws in the report it would require endless phone time.

It is true but sad that the insurance industry needs another indexing to adjust rates. As if Claim history, Age, Sex, Driving record, vehicle type, Crime rate in area, Flood area, Hurricane area, Population, is not enough to adjust rates to keep them in business.

I recently was notified by my insurer,Hartford, that I did not get the best rate because credit agencies could find no record of me. I have not owed anyone a dime for at least 15 years, never been late with a payment before that etc. Also I have several other quotes before I renewed and that shows up as credit checks which is also a negative. Oh well. I would like to pay the ins. bill with a smile but it takes money.

There might be some truth to the "low score = bad credit = less sense of responsibility = worse driving record = higher rate" policy.

I do believe that THIS is true. But WHERE are all my good-driver REBATE checks for never EVER having an insurance claim ?

There IS some truth to this too.

Back in the early 90's ...I had a CC stolen and they ran up a BUNCH of charges. The CC company said NO problem but then they still billed me for some of the charges. I said stick-it .... and went OFF the "radar". No CC at all.

In 2001 ...I needed a CC. WOW ...what a bummer. The only way I could get a CC is to pay Capital One 65$ a year .... for a 250$ credit line. LOL

Yadi, yadi, yada .... I now have a total of a 40k$ credit line and have a MC that pays ME to use it during the year !

I really curious why anyone would pay cash for anything? I walk around with the same $100 in my pocket for a month before I need a refill. I put everything on the credit card and write one (online banking) check to pay it off at the end of the month. Making endless trips to the ATM or keeping a pile of cash laying around at home just seems silly to me - plus I get cash back on my credit card and have a great credit score. Seems like a win-win-win for me.

Sorry Scharley, lmao.. I expect better from you!

Our auto rates are less than many states but not all or even half.

Also not what I mean about consumer oriented. We have the toughest laws on the books to protect consumers.. Our privacy laws alone do more than most...

I'd debate you all day on matter but wait your not an agent nor do you live in California. So your info is 2nd hand and if from friend or family then get your insurance through them, LOL.

Nice try big guy..

Understand were done on this topic! Give me a buzz when your licensed and living in Cal but not 2nd hand.
