Heading out of Bahia de Kino and need some clarification as to the best southbound bypass of Hermosillo from here.

Next stop... you guessed it, San Carlos/Guaymas!

I know there is a 'short cut' back to the 15 that goes through Miguel Alleman but many have advised against it. So, I'm looking for the name of the street that I should turn right on, from SON100, past the airport, to get back to 15. Is it Solidaridad?

If not the name, landmarks??

Thanks in advance for any help.

The shortcut road is horrible. Miles of potholes across the entire road. That is the way we found it last May. When we were in Kino last week, spoke to two different RVs that used it within the last month. SAME, it is not worth the time savings. You will save an hour at the most and travel thu H**L. My 2cents.

Yes: The street is called Solidarid going Northbound but I think it is the Periferico Sur going South. Just the name, still the same street. As you are heading East be on the lookout for a Soriana on your right and a huge Pemex Saguaro) on your left. Turn right at this intersection. I am trying to remember landmarks so you will get into the RH lane at the correct time. Only one I can think of is a Serfin Bank on your right. You will follow the Periferico past Wal Mart ( the old Wal Mart/Home Depot). Keep to the right and you will see the sign for Guaymas. There is a Motel at that corner ( San Rafael??). Follow the sign for Guaymas. I know they have built a new road in Hermosillo that would make the trip throught town easier but I am not familiar with that route. DO NOT take the short cut from Calle Doce. It sucks!!!

DO NOT try the short cut just past Calle Doce, unless you're trying to destroy your RV. It is in the worst condition that I have ever seen it.

The landmark going into Hermosillo will be the Cummins dealer on the left. Start getting into the right lane after you pass them. Be very careful about the intersection that you're going to turn right as it is under construction and they have moved the opposite traffic over into your side and you will go from 4 lanes to 2 lanes very quick. After you turn right at the Sariana store, stay in the #3 lane until you pass the WalMart and Home Depot on your left(4k) and then watch for the signs.

Have a good and safe trip.
