Yup, thinking the same thing.
Not to mention blizzards, icing, subzero weather and other hazards of the northern climate. If you're not indoors and climate-controlled, you just have to philosophize about that's what insurance if for

I appreciate all the input from all of you. Thank You. 1 to 3 dollars a day for parking or for storage ???? I guess the closer to the ocean that it is the more it will cost to stay there ???

We're staying at a place in Sebastian FL (central east coast) and the storage rates are $35 month. I would be leery of leaving an RV very close to the ocean. Salt in the air can be murder on the metal parts. Also, your RV probably won't care if it's a few miles inland.

Storage in the Daytona Beach area is somewhat hard to come by. I am currently on a waiting list at three different places in Ormond Beach (just north of Daytona) and have been for several months. For just a plan piece of sand lot to park on it generally runs around $25-$40 per month. One place which has concrete lot with a place to wash and empty tanks, etc. is $65 per month but has an extremely long waiting list.
There are two campgrounds that meet the description of what you saw. One is at the northern end of Ormond Beach next to the Corral Sands Motel. We have reservations there for next month with a family reunion (they are using the motel). If I remember correctly the rate was $59 per night.
The other is Gamble Rogers State Park in Flagler Beach. It is a little more expensive and does not have sewer.
I would not consider leaving the RV stored on the Beach. Sand and salt spray just destroy everything. While the salt spray comes about 12 miles inland (according to a study by Chevy) it is not nearly as bad being just a mile or so off the beach.

59$ a night !!!! Just to park a RV ??? Are those the normal rates for Florida ??? I'm not as worried about a storage place as I am finding some-thing affordable to live in the RV for a few months ??? For 59$ a night I could get a motel room !!!

We stored our rig for 9 months in a private storage lot for $45 per month. We then picked it up and put it back on our reserved site at the RV park. It worked out well, but we were worried about things like mold and mildew more than hurricanes, because mold and mildew is not covered by insurrance. Another thing you might consider is one of those 6x6 plans, where you put the rig on a site and leave it there all year. You can only use it up to six months per year, but you store it right on the site the other six months. We've seen plans like that for anywhere from $2000.00 per year on up. The plus sides are not having to move the rig back and forth from storage, and possibly finding someone who lives year round in the park that is willing to check inside once in a while.
