I'm not sure if this is an approproate topic here, but I will post if and the mod. can take it down if he wants...

What name brand product works best for your black tanks? I know a lot of people are high on the GEO method, but I have to imagine that there is something out there on the shelf that works just as well if not better.

So please dont try to get me to switch to GEO, just post your experiences with off-the-shelf products and which one is best.

Thanks.

I use TST, it's what my dealer first gave me with the TT so I just stuck with it. I'm so new at this though I'm sure others have preferences.

We use what ever is available, where ever I'm at. These treatments are all basically the same. Also, they are not in my tank that long anyway to make a difference.

I also use whatever is handy. Remember, your tanks are only holding tanks and are not septic tanks. You are not doing a whole lot of breaking down of sewage.
You really are just looking for a deodorizer for the sewage while it is in your tanks.

I recently started using a product that I LOVE! We have had "issues" with other tank chemicals, but this stuff is awesome!

Long, ugly story short - I had a situation where our TT sat for over a month with stuff in the black tank. To tell you the truth, I was scared to death to open the door as we had empty tanks "sit and stink" this past September. Was that ever horrible! However, when I opened the door to the TT this time, it still smelled fresh and clean! I am amazed. This stuff has certainly earned my loyalty!!

I've used everything they sell out there. I was is Portand Oregon several years ago going to the coast and stopped at a GI Joes store. they were having a parking lot sale and I bought a box of tst treatment. I used it for years and gave some away to friends and the kids. It worked pretty good until I read here on the forum of a product called "Happy Camper". This stuff is the cat's meow. It only takes a little scoop of it to last til you dump. And when you dump you still don't smell anything.

We've been using Envirochem for years, and it's done the trick - but I'm going to give that Happy Camper stuff a good look.

Ditto to the above. I've been using Happy Camper for over 2 years now and it is awesome! I highly recommend it.
