Found this on a site this morning and thought I would post it, wish I still had some of my cast iron to try the top one on. Haven't tried any of them so hope they work.

1. No more rust! After washing, wipe cast-iron pots and pans with used tea bags-the tannins in the tea create a rust preventing layer!

2. Dry skin? Bathe in green tea! Just throw a few tea bags under a running faucet - the antioxidants will re- hydrate skin!

3. Tidy cats! Open dry, used tea bags and add the contents to kitty litter. Tea's antibacterial properties neutralize odor!

4. Instant facial! Apply warm, wet tea bags to your face. The tannins will tighten pores and reduce puffiness.

5. Cooking fist or garlic? Wipe palms with wet tea bags afterward. Odors will disappear!

Tooth extraction won't stop bleeding? Roll up a wet tea-bag and press it into the gap between the other 2 teeth. The tannic acid will stop the bleeding.

My favorite is ICED TEA! 3 "Family Size" in a 1/2 gallon of cold water for a few hours.

Great for tired eyes and irritations! My mom, a nurse, swore by them. Used them on my eyes as a child when I had chicken pox and the red measles. We use it on our cat who gets irritated runny eyes at least once a year. Heat water, not too hot. Soak the bag briefly and then put on they eye until it cools.

tea is great for severe sunburns also. My dh - who burns to blisters once had a burn so bad, I tool him to the dr. He told me steep tea very strong, wait until it cools, then dip towels into the tea and lay on the burns - the tannins take the burn out and helps the blisters heal faster.

Cure canker sores: Apply a wet tea-bag directly over the canker sore for several minutes. The tannin in the tea will draw out the moisture and dry it so that it will heal.
