I would like to know some of the best resort campgrounds in Fla. Daytona Beach and south that would put me right on the beach or close to the water. The time I am looking for is Jan-May. Nothing by a canel or lake. Thank you all for your input.

Not a resort, but Jetty Park at Port Canaveral is right on the ocean and inlet.

They ain't none. Nothing on the water in Daytona. Beverly Beach Camptown 30 miles north of Daytona near Flagler Beach is directly on the water, but it isn't a resort; sand and some Palm Trees and $80/nite. North Beach Resort in Villano north of St. Augustine is nicer but you can't see the ocean and its a long walk to the ocean. As mentioned, Jetty Park is ok, but again, you can perhaps hear the ocean but can't see it from the campground. There are some waterfronts in the Keys; Bluewater Key RV resort is beautiful, $130/nite or so. Gulf Coast has a few; Red Coconuts, Topsail.

Just left Beverly Beach CG at Flagler Beach. Close to the Atlantic as you can get.

Gamble Rogers State Park has Oceanfront sites but you will have a tough time getting one reserved. Flagler Beach is a pretty quiet area which I prefer.

Outdoor Resorts at Melbourne Beach is just across A1A from the ocean. It also borders the Indian River. 581 sites with about 130 rv sites and the rest are park models. Very nice park...3 pools (one on the beach side) and 6 tennis courts...newly remodeled bathrooms, new roads, lots of places to eat in the area; golf course .25 miles away...we bought a lot here 5 years ago and think it is paradise.

Besides Bluewater Key, most of the waterfront are on the west coast; Outdoor Resorts @ Chokoloskee, Red Coconut was mention, but its a dump; Desoto State Park @ Tierra Verde.
