Saw the movie but didn't think of doing this. Thanks for the idea:
1. Glacier National Park
2. A year of studying and visiting Civil War sites
3. Camping on the coast at Acadia National Park
4. Alaska
5. Canadian rockies
6. Follow the fall leaves from Maine down to Georgia
7. Maple Sugaring time in Vermont
8. Pacific Northwest
9. Traveling to research family tree
10. A trip without a schedule

That's the 1st 10 for now.

Have every page in the National Parks Passport stamped. DD gave it to me for birthday gift. Kids think it's a hoot that we want to "See the USA in our Chevrolet."

Some great ideas so far. We have already done a lot but so much left to do/see.
A. Visit as many Revolutionary War and Civil War sites as we can.
B. Visit as many National Parks/wilderness/recreation areas as possible.
C. Yellowstone in the fall, Grand Tetons in the spring.
D. Win the lottery.
E. Take the ferry trip with our rig to Alaska, or do ferry thing and rent a rig to do Alaska during the July to August time frame.
F. Would do a trip with a rented rig and tour the land of OZ or Australia if you prefer.
G. WE might if provoked do a European Caravan thing too.
But enough I tend to ramble.

Interesting observation - Easterners want to see the west and Westerners want to to see the east. Everybody wants to see Alaska.

Keep em coming. Getting some great ideas to add to our list.

Amazing isn't it what we wish for.
Like ky-auctioneer said. 'The Easterners want to go West and the Westerners want to go East.

We have visited many of the places listed here and never gave them a second thought, great places, love to see them again but not on my top ten.
Strange to sit here knowing I fulfilled somebody else's dream.

Some of the best traveling memories we have are of places we discovered accidentally. That's why we seldom make a list or plan too far ahead.

I'd love to go back 50-100 years and float a raft down the Mississippi.

1. Win the lottery
2. Take the wife and daughter to all the places i got to go to when i was a kid.
3. Send the wife and daughter to Korea to visit the wife's family, wait they did that a couple years ago and the wife wants to do it again this year. I'll get to stay home and babysit our dog.
4. Take off and see all the places i didn't get to see when i was a kid.
