I'm considering, and only slightly considering, moving from our 213 EXP up to a 29A in the same EXP line, in order to get the double bunks and more open living area. I'm quite happy with the shorter lengh of the 213 and the Norco frame, no issues yet, and haven't seen or heard of any in the ExP line. However, if this is the same frame that didn't work out on the LGT line at the longer length, it would make sense to seriously consider if there were any similar problems on the EXPs. I know Jayco went to a stronger frame in the LGT line in 2007, does anyone know about the longer 29A? Would love to hear from any owners of this model. We've looked around at other models for a month or two, so far always come back to what I've got. Thaks in advance for any help!

The 29A has the same garbage Norco frame my 29Y has. I wouldn't have another trailer with that frame. There's a good reason Jayco went away from it in '07 on the 26'-up trailers.

Johnny - I sure appreciate your candor. Most folks might strongly hint that "my trailer is perfect in all regards". We "love it". Etc. Actually, NO trailer is!

Exactly. Since I've been shopping around for a replacement for the 29Y-I'm finding features on ever brand that I like, but have yet to find the trailer that's perfect for me. And they all seem to have some downfall or deficiency no matter the brand.

Yep, yep, and I agree too. I was hoping to find that the 07 29A had a different frame. It looks fine under the 213, but I wouldn't want all those holes and light tapered steel at the ends on a longer unit.

Here's what I can say about my 29A. I had it out about 8 times last year. I did keep an eye on the frame because of all the hype on the bent frame sticky. The frame looks as good as new. And I had it on a few roads that weren't very friendly. I too considered the frame issue before purchasing. The conclusion I came to is I could only find one or two references to Jaycos with Frame issues. The positive side of the 29A is the low profile, weight, and all around package make for a trailer that tows like a dream.
