Ladies and Gentlemen,
I finally got my first "roll-a way", tool box / roll cab. What ever you want to call it.
What kind of hand tool organizer works best for you?
I see their are several kind of plastic organizers to put your sockets and wrenches into.
I think I like the magnetic ones best but I am not sure.
Also I would like some tool holders that can be carried in a group to the RV, like a set of wrenches or sockets.
Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Magnetic holders will magnetize your tools in time. Extremely frustrating.
Plastic pegs work very well for the sockets.and Snap-on has plastic strips with notches for wrenches. They are sort of like a string of V's with double tape on the bottom. Use two pieces for each row of wrenches. Makes it a lot easier to get all the tools back before you close up.
I just went the other way and have all my tools in zip-lock bags. Two complete sets, one inch and one metric but there is only so much room in a trailer and I got rid of a lot but tools never. Would not feel good with a stranger working on my stuff

I took some of those interlocking floor mats from either Costco or Sams and cut out spaces individually. I arranged the tools where I wanted them and penned an outline with a Fine Sharpie.
I'll post pictures tomorrow if you'd like.

I use THESE
type of socket organizers. You can color code them for imperial and metric. I have been a technician for 18 years, probably had these organizers for 15 of those years, and they still work, they don't magnetize the sockets whatsoever either. They are also easy to take with you when needed.

20 years a mechanic followed by 20 years in the tool business.
There is no one good answer to your question. There are more types of organizers on the market then ever before.
Socket organizers, wrench racks, the list goes on and on. If you want the most variety, look at tool company websites. Visit stores like Sears.
Everyone has their own favorites.
BTW, those magnetic "blocks" have almost disapeared from the market though they were very popular 15 years ago.

I purchased a 260pc tool set for the Motorhome. (craftsman) it came in its own 4 tray molded plasctic chest. It works great all the tools have there own spot and leave this box along with a three draw chest with other misc tools in the coach at all times. No more back and forth to the garage for tools.

Thanks guys,
I buy stuff from Northern tool all the time but would have never thought of them until you suggested it. The socket holders that Northern tool is selling are the same ones as Snap-ON has and they are half price.
I also like the wrench holders best that Snap-On has for just a couple bucks more.
I stopped by Sears today and picked up a couple things to try out. It looks like I will be getting a few things from several sources to meet my needs.
Thanks for your help I found everything I was looking for.

If you're willing to do a little work yourself to get what you want:
Pennytech tool trays:
Get 1/4" hardboard or equivalent. Cut to fit the tool drawer bottom or as needed. Put the tools where you want them. Use dowels to hold sockets in place and dowels/shaped hardboard for other tools.
I have about 4-5 tool boxes of tools in two boxes with room left over just because there's not a lot of wasted space between tools that the generic holders create - especially the sockets. Total cost is maybe $20 for something like 500 individual tool pieces. And every piece is organized exactly how I want them, NOT how some mass produced plastic tray would demand.
