Have they installed any place for you to get off the road when you're turning in your paperwork yet? Or do you still have to park in the Cafe's lot or in one of the dirt pull-outs?
After parking in the cafe lot,she asked me to make a U turn and pull up to the caseta facing east to do the paperwork then when done make another tight u turn to carry on westward.That was a new one!
Get your FMT before leaving. I believe Vagabundos is still providing that service. You than get you Car import permit at Empalme should you want to go further south out of the free zone. I believe you can go to the Guaymas area without the car permit but no futher south.

Good advice, but we are talking about turning in the paperwork on your way OUT of Mexico.
