My brother and I were talking about new Lance Campers (he has an 815) while we were on our way down to San Dog on Christmas Eve to see my downward-spiralling Broncos get shalacked by the Chargers.
With a set of add-a-leafs I'd put the new 825 (with bath) on my truck without a second thought. I like the idea of the cassette potty and a grey tank. Dump the grey tank out in the bush and the potty at home. One of the pains of RV'ing is stopping off to dump the tanks.
My DW has spent plenty of time in my bro's camper and she says "no-way" to a smaller TC. I agree that it would be pretty tight for a family of four. Especially when three of them are females who have to bring lots of "stuff". In fact, she wants an even bigger TT than the one we have now.
But, if we could afford it (and had a place to sore it) I'd buy a TC like the 825 for those solo and/or guy trips when wife and kids don't go. Maybe when the kids are gone...

...isn't the base 825 like $12,500 and change (with bathroom option, $13,xxx and change?) ? Link-> $12,545
How much more affordable can a TC possibly get ?!?
Cheers,

OK, so we probably could afford it. The monthly payment would be about equal to one night out's dinner and drinks. But, DW would not be happy, and with our HOA (what a mistake buying into that nonsense) we'd have to store another RV. Nah, for now we'll be stickin' with the TT.
Everyone else has probably noticed this already, but if you click on the second tool bar (on the Lance site) where it says "Get a quote", you can add on all the options that are available and it will show you what the weight affect would be. You don't have to give them all the info they want to actually get a price quote to use this feature. I added everything I could possibly want (bath, AC, microwave etc.) and the weight was still only 2,060 Lbs. Pretty good, but I think I'll need to see one to understand what those hollow core cabinet doors, double entry step, removable thermal sash windows and other insulated options really are. Now if they would offer the Camo interior, day-night shades, a rear bumper with slide out steps, and I would prefer cabinets over the dinette. Everything else is what I've been wanting . Oh, and a dual battery setup would be nice.

...yeah, but the price could jump up from $12,500 to easily near $28,000 with just a few goodies
The trick is keeping those costly options way down. The base unit apparently is wired for virtually every gadget you could imagine; buying a few items every year and installing yourself could save you a $$$$ bundle...
