Ive been looking at the 34' Sandstorm at the dealer and he doesnt have any pamphlets on it because he just got it in but its a 2008 model, brand new.. I really like it but Im just curious what others think about it that own it.. I was quoted 44K Loaded out the door, but I found one other on line in Ca. for 35k at a dealership.. Im basically looking for the best bang for the buck and so I can Haul my Rock Buggy and my quad being that I travel alot and I will be living in it until I get stationed at my next base and find another house to buy, Hell I still need to sell my other house out in Va.
Sorry the maker is Forest River, the floor plan is similar to the sandpiper
I purchased a Sandstorm F34SP about 1 1/2 months ago. So far I am very happy. It has had 2 very small interior issues and the dealer has taken care of them both. The unit is ver well equipped. This is my 2nd Forest River product and I have been happy with both so far.

2008 Forest River Sandstorm F34SP 5er axle Flipped.
The Sandstorm is a real nice unit, I almost went with it instead of my Weekend Warrior. The price they gave you seems a little high, must be Enchantment RV in Albuquerque. Shop around, the Sandstorm has a lot of nice features.
I just bought the 2008 Forest River 32' Sierra fifth wheel in November. I LOVE IT! We have used it and abused it so far just to make sure it gets broke in and have had no major problems. I have been looking at them for the past year or so because I, like you, have always thought you get alot of "bang for the buck". Then when I saw the 2008 model, and how they stepped up with the interior design and all the bells and whistles that made my decision easy.
As for Forest River goes, let me give them some credit too...I did have a couple small warranty things come up and a couple of things on my PDI that needed to be fixed and the dealer here in Las Vegas that sold me the trailer went out of business one week after I took delivery. I dealt with them for two weeks trying to get the stuff fixed and they blew me off and from what I could tell, they were the only Forest River dealer/service center in Vegas. When I called Forest River and told them the story he took my number and called me back within an hour with a service shop he found to handle my repair the next moring. That was huge in my book! I hope I don't have to use them much more, but it's nice to know the customer service is there.
If you have any more questions let me know..

My Sandstorm came with 2 LCD 2 A/C 5.5 onan full fiberglass, front and rear caps, bay window with twin recliners, dual bunks, dual gray's, full surround sound with amp and subwoofer, electric awning, central vac, bedroom slide, new style diamond plate inside and out, upgraded counters, etc.etc... for $36.5. Triler is in storage so I am unable to provide pic's. I purchased mine at Victor Valley RV in Hesperia, Ca. I hear they have another that is similar. I know I saved a few $$$ because I got the Pomona RV show price. However, keep looking the RV industry is slowing down and better deals will be along soon IMO.

Sounds exactly like what Im looking at except this one has a 6 or 7k generator, cant remember.. Like I said he quoted me 44K but I found the same thing for 35K in California, I havent talked pricing yet with the dealer, Im still checking things out, plus the more I wait the more he will be willing to work with on the price.. Im acually looking at living in it for a while until I get orders to my next station so Im holding off until I hear more word on when things will happen.. He also said the rear loading door is rated to 3k, is this true, I know the door looked beefy but wasnt sure, this needs to be able to allow me to load my buggy with a 110" wheelbase without buckling the door, I havent weighed my Buggy, will do that tomorrow, but Im sure its under 3k..
BTW yes this is Enchantment RV, whats you perspective on them? He just called me to see If Im still interested, I said yes but Ive been busy with flying at work, so I havent had time and I hadnt heard word yet about moving..
Yes, the door has a 3k load rating. I know many other brands only offer 2-2.5k. It is also very light and easy to close with built in door locks. It also has the spring assist built in so you see nothing. I load my RZR and 3 quads no problem. As for the RV dealer I have never heard of them. As with most RV's you will probably have small interior issues. Take it home for a week and give it a good using to see if anything shows itself. Then make sure the dealer fixes any and all problems. Good luck!
I think you'll be hard pressed to fit both a rock buggy and a quad in that trailer. The floor plan shows about 18' 6" to the reefer. My FToy and 2 seater Can-Am utlity quad take all of 20 feet of open space in my Carson. 3700 lbs of left over capacity might be just enough though, depends on quad and buggy weight. My Ftoy is 2950 and my quad is 800 lbs.

I know for a fact that I can get the buggy in, its only 13ft (rounded up), technically the bay is 16ft because fo the counter and stove but I can place the quad at the nose of the buggy and stretch into some of the kitchen area since there is more than enough room.. The buggy is under 3k (havent weighed yet but its light) and the quad is 600lbs or so
