Being a very proud American of Italian descent, I do love the accordion. My wife can play and my cousin that is 84 years old took lessons with Dick Contino and still plays quite well. My close friend owns House of Music here in Madera and is the largest Accordion distributor in California. I can't even play I Swinette, but I think the accordion is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Play on.

Hello from a fellow accordionist. Have been playing since I was 11 and am now 70. I have four of them now. A Petosa reedless,a Titano Virtuoso, another full size Iorio that I am taking to Alaska this summer and a 60 bass that I am selling. I am not professional but do play for a few parties but mostly for my own enjoyment. I dont usually get into the campground jam sessions because playing by ear is not something I do well but I really enjoy getting together with another accordion. Each person can learn something there. Hope to see you down the road somewhere. We are full time florida residents and do our main travelling in the summer. Most people dont realize what beautiful music an accordion can make. Oh well. Take care. Arnold K

every time I hear somebody playing an accordian I say to myself, it could be worse.
I remember back at the University of Iowa football games listening to the Scottish Highlanders play the bagpipes.
Now that was dreadful screeching.

For many years I thought my ex wife played the bagpipes
Then I realized that it was just her complaining again .......
