I have been collecting some firewood but I think its getting used up real fast though. Staying in camp driveway till all this weather clears up while roasting marshmallows on the weekends.

Hi all! You may recall that we couldn't come to the rally because we had vacation plans that weekend. Well, our plans have changed and we will be able to get away for the rally after all. Glen, I sent you a PM.

Hi all just wanted to put in my two cents worth. I just got back from the RV Capital rally in Elkhart IN. Had a great time and it was fairly nice weather. We had 30 rigs show up from Iowa (me) Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin. We even had a couple from Tennessee drop in.
We had HOBO stew on Friday night that consisted of everyone bringing one can of vegetables to "throw" into the pot and let it stew, add hamburger and you have it. If that would be of interest I can help get it going. We also had a pot luck on Saturday that was a big success.
I have a contact at the Lake McBride boat rental if anyone needs that info, or I can see about reserving boats for a group if that is of interest also.

Add to the list of attractions the Riverside Casino just about 20 miles south. (sorry guys don't let the girls see this part if you want to save money)

Mudmaker... I haven't been to Sugar Bottom for several years is there a pavilion or area for gathering other than around a campfire?
If not can we get several picnic tables together for food if we decide to have a pot luck?
I will PM you and if I can help you organize I will.

That's about all I can think of for now. Please feel free to PM me with any questions about the area I will help if I can.

I beleive he has resevered loop A which is a circle drive and everyone parks their rig along edge of circle. There is a pavilion there for use as well as bath and shower house. They are for all the group camp areas. There are a total of 3 group camp areas there. The hobo stew and pot luck sounds great to us. Also, has anyone tried the omlets in a bag. Really quick and easy for a large or small group when camping. If interested, we could do that for a breakfast. These are some great ideas, sounds like everyone is getting the itch to get out and camp.

The group area is filled and since we were having another couple join us we reserved 2 sites (054 and 055). That other couple now can't make it but we will keep the 055 site for a little while longer in case some more sign up for this rally. Getting real anxious to start camping. We're doing our first Memorial weekend - or maybe sooner!

We will be there on June 14 to spend the week. Have a full hookup site reserved. I'm sure my daughter and her family will join us. This will probably be our vacation this year.

I enjoy camping at Sugar Bottom. Lots of things to do in the area. It's a well maintained campground with clean facilities.

I won't be able to haul much wood. I'll see if my SIL can line some up for us.
