That's great! :-) Thanks for the photo too, that will make wife very happy to find out it can be lowered. I didn't get a manual for the awning for some reason and when I dowloaded it today online it said it could be done, but I haven't gotten confirmation until now.

The manual says you can even adjust it so one end is lower than the other so rain runs off and it can be retracted without them being even. Sounds like a heck of a system if that's true.

Take care,

I adjusted mine last summer when I first got my 32SS and left it in the lowest position. It open and closes just fine.

I thought the original poster was talking about a model that has a slideout on that side that is under the awning.

Found this pic of a 35GS with the awning lowered over the slide. It looks like it needs to go up a notch to avoid rubbing on the top of the slide.

Thank you all for your responses. The 32' does not have the front slideout which allows the awning to be adjustable. I have a 35' Seneca GS which has a front slideout. The automatic electric awning has to clear the slideout which prohibits it's adjustment. The electric arms continuously stick when extending the awning which causes it to hang on top of the slideout. I have sprayed silicone on the moving parts hoping this might help but it doesn't.
The dealer says it is a flaw in the Jayco design and there is nothing I can do about it.
It is hard to accept this answer.
