I have a 07 Seneca 35HD with 06 Chassis. Which shocks are best Koni or Bilstein? The Service dept quoted a "deal" for $680.00 parts and labor for the Bilsteins. Seems too high to me. Looked at E shocks, found the Bilsteins. Where is a good place to price the Konis and which are best? Not sure if this has been covered already.

I have never tried the Bilsteins, just heard the Koni's were the best. Just ordered the rears through Henderson's. Mine is the 19.5K chassis with eye bolt by eye bolt shocks in the rear. Yours might be stud by stud, you need to verify. I believe the part # for those are 8805-1022.
The fronts are 8805-1023.

Here is the part # for the fronts, best price I found today. There was a place that had them for less, price just went up today.
Konis for C5500 fronts
I am not sure of the part numbers for the eye bolt ones, hopefully they will be on my doorstep when I get home and I can tell you.
Good luck,
Bill

I dont know if the Bilstiens are good or not, but I had them taken off the rear of my 34ss,(had less than 1000 miles) and replaced all corners with Koni's. I had this done in Quartzite by Hendersons. If I am not mistaken they were $300.00 a pair. I had trouble finding the Bilstiens that were the correct application for my C5500 Jayco Seneca. After alot of research here on the boards and numerous phone calls I DO NOT recommend the Bilstiens, go KONI all the way or if you really want a shock for the life of the Motorhome contact Hendersons and have a set of Road Kings(I think that is the name)made by King shocks. About $400.00 a shock

Here is a thread where Bilstein installation is discussed. I've been very satisfied with them. No doubt Koni shocks are good, too.

Make sure to check your rv for what shock your Kodiak takes. I just spent half a day and ordered two sets of wrong ones. It sounds like Chevy changed the rear set up for a couple of months in 06 and mine are eye and stud. koni part number 8805 1022 SP 1.

You have a Super C, right? Check out the Koni FSDs. They are the best Konis. They are not available for standard C, but maybe for Super C. Do a search on KoniFSD. It is worth investigating. They auto adjust soft/hard. Very cool technology.
