I was wondering if anyone is familiar with Coachmen Travel Trailers. A local dealer has a brand new 2007 23fks for $10888. Nada values a used one between $15000 and $18000. It seems like a good deal or am I missing something.http://www.wmrvs.com/inventory/coachmen/details.php?id=161

Check it over real good. We bought a new Coachmen in 2000. The roof began leaking and we had it back 3 times before they got it fixed. They had to replace the carpet and the mattress to get rid of the mildew. We traded it off soon after that. We were afraid of mold inside the walls.

We bought our 2005 Coachman Capri Key Largo 29FK used in 2006 for ~12k. We have had no issues at all with it. Its solidly built, doesnt leak, pulls nice and has a floorplan that we really like. I'm sure that we will keep this for many years to come.

like Captin Pickle said, Check it over real good for repaired damage.

Just traded in my 2007 Coachman 24RBQ (we were plagued with plumbing problems since purchase. Entire tub and shower was removed to fix leaks and hot water heater replaced twice.) Also had problems with pilot on stove. Won't even look at a Coachman again!

Our 2003 was very poorly built. We ended up donating it to a local charity. It had zero re-sale value.

We didn't really care for them, but it all depends on how you like it. Check it over well. I think you're getting a good deal.

The 2008 are out & 2009's are starting to come out also so they want to move it quickly. We bought our 2007 31DSB in August and got a great deal on it because of the 2008's showing up. We have had no big(knocking on particle board) problems with ours as except that the rubber seal or wiper blade around the rear slide leaked in a little water because it didnt fold out like it was supposed to do and the seal on the bottom of the same slide is ripped and they will be taking care of it under warranty.

We love it but ours is a little heavy and may trade it for a 2009 tyhat has the same floor plan but is about 2000#'s lighter.

The price reduction comes in around 50% off MSRP, which means it's below cost. If it's brand new, and there's nothing wrong with it, then they really must want to move it. That should at least warrant your consideration, after looking it over very well of course.
