Superbowl Sunday is fast approaching, here are a couple of appetizers I plan on fixing.

Meatballs

# 1 This is real hard, I go to the grocery store and buy a bag of frozen meatballs and a couple of cans of beef gravy. Add about 1/2 cup of sour cream to the gravy. Put in crockpot on low for a couple hours before serving.

# 2 Same meatballs, put in crockpot and pour your favorite BBQ sauce over. Heat for several hours before serving. You can substitute bite size hot links for meatballs.

Asian Wings

Buy a package of chicken wings. Cut wings into 3 sections and discard the tips. Pour about a cup of Soy Sauce in a large bowl. Mix in about one tsp. of minced garlic (or 1 tsp Garlic Powder). Add wing pieces 3 or 4 at a time and mix in the Soy Sauce and coat well (DO NOT MARIADE). Spray a 9 x 13 oblong baking dish with Pam. Place wings single layer in oblong pan. Repeat steps until all wings have been coated. Sprinkle some sesame seeds over wings and bake in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Turn wings over, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake an additional 20 minutes. Serve hot, reheats well.

What about you, what are you fixing? Please share!

I saw wings at Wally-world that already had the tips removed and they weren't too much more than the regular ones!
Also, my mom takes the meatballs and crock-pots them with grape jelly and Chili sauce. I tried this last year but couldn't get the proportions right.

We'll be doing Nachos. Tortilla chips, non-fat refried beans, taco meat(if I get ambitious),onion, tomato, black olives, sour cream, shredded cheese, and prepared guacamole! Add a couple of cold beers and your all set!

rwm, for 2# of meat, try this sauce, it works every time for me:

1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 (10 oz.) jar grape jelly
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar

Wife drives it FAST, hubby fixes it when it breaks.

I do the chili sauce and grape jelly and it's just to taste, I don't measure.
Chili sauce and maple syrup with little hotdogs works well too. Again to taste. Very low heat in a frying pan until they glaze. Big favorites with my friends. Super easy.

Chicken Dip

3-4 Chicken Breast (boiled and shredded)
½ Cup Picante Sauce (I use Mild)
2/3 - 1 Cup Sour Cream (just depends on how much Chicken you have)
Corn and Black Beans - (however much you like. I just use alittle of each)
½ Tsp. Ground Cumen
1 Tsp. Chili Powder
1 Cup Schredded Cheddar Cheese

Once chicken is done and shredded, mix all ingredients together. I taste mine to
see if I need to add extra of anything else, I usually do. Chill in the fridge
before serving. Some people serve with Doritos, I use Tortilla Chips.

Combined in a crockpot frozen all beef meatballs or cut up Hillshire sausage and add sliced onion, green pepper, red pepper, chunk pineapple and a can of Cantadina Sweet and Sour sauce. Heat in crockpot for a few hours on high.
