Hello there fellow rvers: ).......My husband and I just bought a 27ft. Aerolite fifth wheel. We are sooo excited. We just sold our Jayco pop up that we had for 6 years.....this is gonna be an interesting step up for sure. We've been shopping for months....debating on fifth wheel vs. tt. I'm sure we made the right choice for us personally. We're picking up our trailer tomorrow and heading out to Lake Livingston State Park. I've been reading a few post on the site and I'm sure the rv vets are gonna get a big kick out of us ; ) It'll be a big kick watching us figure out what to do...LOL; ) Anyway....just wanted to say "HI" from Spring, TX. and can't wait to make some new friends along the way. Take care....Cee Jay; )

Hi Cee Jay & Fellow Texans!
Welcome to the Open Road Forums and congratulations on the new 5er! I bet you're so excited. We too upgraded from out little popup to a travel trailer back in 2005. It was definitely quite exciting and still is.
We'll see you down the road! We'll be in your neck of the woods in October for a rally at Lake Somerville State Park, come join us!

Hi From Bedias! Hope the wind has laid by time you leave tomorrow. It will make your trip much enjoyable. Winds are steady 25MPH and gusting 35 to 40. Have fun. Jim

Thank you so much. Where do we get information for the rally? Do we just look up events on the State park calender?

We're fellow Texans and former pop up owners as well. Bought a 5'er (33 ft. Newmar) last April and will be moving back to Texas as soon as the house sells. BUT, because we can't wait, we're heading out in about a week for the Houston, Galveston, San Antonio area. Maybe we'll see ya down the road! If you see a shiny new silver/chromed out Dodge dually 3500 pulling a blue and white Newmar 5'er- that's us! The silver bullet!

I would imagine it makes it a little more difficult going down the
road and keeping things straight, huh? I'm watching you babe. I got
the confirmation email here at work. Nice job signing us up. Looks
like a cool site here.
