Well, since everyone else is giving an update.......we had a really nice time with Julie and Chino. Did the downtown Taos area and shops (Bob really enjoyed that part, NOT..... but Sharon did) We are in Monument Valley, RV Campground is really crowded and you are on top of neighbors. Sharon got Bob to bring the Van to a screeching halt for Kneel Down Bread. All the guy had left was the plain, it was pretty good. These are also called Navajo Tamales. Tried to do 4 Corners and they want $3 a piece to get in....it was too late to be worth it. Last time we were there it was no charge. So we just took a picture of the sign and went on. Davy, I wonder if Moab Diner would have your favorite sandwich? Could someone at Moab post here whether we can have campfire? Be safe, see you all soon.

I'll head over in a few hours and be there this afternoon! Mark's coming separately with his truck so we can do some higher country exploring tomorrow, but he has to come back to Norwood Friday. Sue Reynolds and her Excel will be there probably Saturday. Moab Brewery is our favorite place in town - great beers. I'll bring all my maps/literature on the trails etc. if anyone wants to research. See you later!

Sharon and Bob, we went to 4 Corners and turned around yesterday too! I think it was right around 6 PM. I don't think you're very far away. We can see Monument Valley from here (waaayyyy off in the distance)
I'm glad someone else got to try the bread, it was awesome. I hope we find more today. For those who have never had it, it's like a heavy moist bread dough mixed with fresh cut sweet corn and jalapenos, then rolled in tamale skins and baked in a ground oven.
After I typed my message last night, we went over to the casino for a while. We won about $80 then beat it out of there before we could loose it. We're heading back over there for breakfast then will be back on the road.

There are no fire pits in the campground. The tent sites have charcoal grills on stands but the RV sites don't. I asked about making my stew in the Dutch oven pot and charcoals and they said they could accommodate me. I suspect I might grab a nearby tent site grill.
We did the Delicate Arch walk today. It will be 87 degrees here tomorrow with a low of about 52. It is really nice. Dandi Dinmont, AbbyArts, Heinzsite, HighlandTravelers and Marty the Mutt Mom are here tonight.

Margaret and I are in Torrey, Utah tonight. Looking forward to joining everyone in Moab tomorrow. Had a very scenic day in southwestern Utah today. Aspens are spectacular. Photo was taken on UT-12 south of Torrey at about 9600' elevation. The photo doesn't do the scene justice.

We're in Estes Park, CO tonight. Lots of Elk and the aspen are quite nice, but the trees were even better in the Tetons a couple days ago. DW took this one:

Thursday afternoon just arrived at Riverside Oasis (Thurs night site 36, Fri-Sun site 29). Spent Wednesday night at Lower Lehman campgrounds at Great Basin N.P. Got the last site at Lower Lehman (7,300 feet) which only has a total of about 12 sites. All of the other CG's within the National Park are at higher elevations, Wheeler Peak CG is near 10,000 feet with the water turned off (park does not want damaged pipes).

Those are beautiful galleries of Yellowstone, the Tetons & Utah. We are going out there next summer and you have done us a wonderful favor here. We are dreaming of this trip every night.
Thank you greatly.
