...Gene,
I posted a trip report for the benefit of the Roadfood.com crowd on their board. I interspersed it with food and scenery. They like to see food so I gave them food. I was so busy making hot stew I forgot to get my camera out at the potluck.

Trip Report
Dave - Thank You - great story telling.

That was "Danielle Boone", seriously. The winner was McDuff.

We got home just before midnight last night. We drove over 6000 miles in 24 days and visited 10 states and we're already wishing that we could just do laundry, clean up the B and then head out again.

We'll have photos posted within a week or so, after we get a chance to sort through them all.

Ideas are already forming for the next "B Out West" event, so watch the rallies thread for information soon. We're going to do a vote sometime soon that will give you all a chance to vote on a couple of different locations.

WOW, Julie and Chino, what a trip!! Glad you made it home safely, as well as everyone else who attended the rally.
Chino, thanks, now I can see pictures.

Great dog photos!

Could someone please tell me where that wonderful toy rifle can be purchased? It looks very much like the flintlock rifle I carry through the woods and it would make a great piece for children to handle safely when we do a Living History Show & Tell.

John

P.S. Q-Jane, please come back to VA and I'll let you shoot the real one! JFH

John, the rifle shown on Danielle Boone's costume was a total fake. We were not able to find a toy rifle - remember when we were kids, we all had them. But, did find the perfect one on the internet - printed it - pasted it to cardboard. Fun project.

Well still on the road and having a ball. Will be leaving Laughlin Nv. tomorrow and heading for Lake Havasu area for a few days then heading towards home via New Mexico and who knows where. Hope to be home middle of Nov. so have lots of time to just wander around this great land of ours.
